Father

Today we said goodbye
inside I knew my heart took me someplace else far away
but in this moment of leaving I saw deep into your soul
us knowing we might not see each other for a long time
but a glance into your eye’s told me all is well
the smile on your face told me you care
and that is good enough
Not often in my life had you pulled me close
but this time we cuddled then said goodbye
of you I shall have only fond and good memories
and I know sometimes the things I do will remind me of you!!
and if those things are good then I shall not stop them.
