From an early age, Riki immersed himself in music, writing and recording extensively. His creative path took a profound turn after a life-changing solo cycling journey across France and Spain, where he wild-camped and busked to reconnect with nature and diverse cultures. These experiences, along with time spent recording in a home-built studio during the pandemic, shaped the rich textures and deep themes found in his music today.

Riki’s latest works reflect this journey of transformation, weaving raw emotion and spiritual insight with intricate, soulful compositions. He masterfully balances the fire and groove of funk and rock with a more introspective, heartfelt sensibility that speaks to the soul. His trilogy of albums showcases this evolution, encouraging listeners to connect with their inner light and live in healing with the natural world.

Committed to fostering community and inspiring change, Riki envisions his music as a bridge between worlds. He aspires to co-create spaces for healing, celebration, and collective connection through music. His live performances aim not only to entertain but also to inspire meaningful action toward sustainability and well-being.

With plans to collaborate with like-minded artists and expand his audience, Riki continues to use his music as a catalyst for personal and planetary transformation. Through his recordings and live performances, he invites listeners to embrace their own journey of growth, connection, and healing.

Riki is a natural improviser; no two gigs are the same! He plays everything with feeling and the energy of the moment !

Riki loves to jam and create something new from the mixture of peoples’ abilities – he tends to bring the best out in other musicians, giving them space and energy to express. He has an impressive back-catalogue of collaborations/jams with other musicians and solo projects. His solo work has included simple and beautifully melodic pieces, through to full band-style pieces where he has recorded all the instruments himself. Please note though that gigs he does while travelling are solo acoustic unless you can provide other musicians for him to work with! 🙂
